Health Professions and Natural Sciences Students in a laboratory

³ÉÈ˶¶ÒôÆƽâ°æ Health Professions & Natural Sciences Minors enable you to develop a foundation in a second area of study. And, you have flexibility — your selected minor does not need to be related to your major.

Pursue a minor in the following areas of study:

Biology

This 20-credit minor will assist students in developing knowledge and skills in basic biology, along with more specialized skills gained in upper-level biology courses. The biology minor can complement the undergraduate education of students in majors including health sciences, behavioral science, psychology, criminal justice and others, providing valuable and marketable scientific and laboratory skill sets.

Chemistry

This 20-credit STEM-designated minor provides students with foundational knowledge and skills in physics, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and physical chemistry. The chemistry minor adds significant value for non-chemistry-majors (for example: biology, environmental science and policy, and health science majors), developing scientific aptitude and laboratory abilities.

Natural Sciences

This 19-to-20-credit minor provides students from all majors with an opportunity to study the natural sciences as a secondary area of interest. A natural science minor enables students to focus their free electives on science coursework and is most appropriate for students who have an interest in scientific study or who plan careers in science-based organizations.
